One of the best things about running your own business is being able to decide when it’s time for a change and you can go for it, whenever it feels like being the right way for your existing clients, for new clients, and for yourself. And 2021 will be full of change and it will be different for me and my business.
My motto for this year is SHOWTIME and that means for me: action, continuity, and getting things done. In my last blog post, I shared my thoughts about this motto and why it is this motto.
2020 was not what I wanted it to be – a year of growth and development. And in October I finally accepted that 2020 is special. So I began to make plans for 2021, to find my motto, and to analyze what has worked so far, and what didn’t work. I began to plan the change in 2021, and here we go…
Switch to English AND German
In February 2020 I changed my business language from German only to English only, because of so many requests from Home Stagers and Interior Designers in other European countries and even Canada. Looking back on 2020 the reality was a bit disappointing. Ok, some posts really worked well and I had some more traffic on my website. But it wasn’t that significant. And I missed my German community. Now I will go back to German as well. I will add a plugin on my website to give my visitors the chance to decide on English or German.
My posts will be in both languages on Social too. This will be a test until the end of June. And depending on how it works for me I will decide whether I go on this way or whether I cancel one language again. Because there is no doubt about it: publishing content in two languages means more work for me.
Growing and scaling my online business
For about 1-year my mentor Martin Meitza is on my side providing me with so much support, strategy, and clarity. I’m so thankful that he has always been there and will still be with his helpful input. I would never be where I am without him.
Another change is on the horizon: I still have a 20hrs Freelancer job and my goal for 2021 is to focus on my online business, to focus on growth, and hopefully be able to make a living with it by the end of the year. I want to stop that freelancing job, although I really love it. But it is something completely different and I have to spend too much time on it, that I would rather spend on my Dream business “online marketing and content creation”.
My mission is to help creative entrepreneurs to gain more customers and increase their sales with online marketing and a perfect social media performance not only in these uncertain times.
Something new, something great is coming
Did you know that I’m normally coming from the fashion business? I have a degree in fashion design and I’ve been in the fashion business for at least 30 years and still, I have some clients from the fashion industry. After a few years as a sales agent for High fashion brands, I became more and more a marketing and visual marketing specialist. This is my passion! My heart burns for it.
And now I have to see all these wonderful brands and all these engaged retailers struggling to survive in these uncertain times. I can’t stand still and stay just watching.
Therefore I will start a program for fashion store owners to help them reach out to their customers when their stores are closed, enabling sales with an individual online marketing strategy and social media performance.

I did it! I’m a member of the 12 months program from Judith Peters @sympatexter and I’m so glad I did it!
Can you imagine that since 2014 I was thinking about starting a blog? But I was scared about the topics I should write about and who my prospects might be. I didn’t know where to start and I had no plan. And instead of starting a blog, I started to build my online business as a marketing coach for Home Stagers and Interior Designers.
My "Create your digital product" workshop
My 5-day workshop „How to create a digital product“ will be launched in the first quarter of the year. I will explain exactly what a digital product is and how it is used to generate sales. I’m going to show a very detailed step-by-step process on how to use Canva to create this product – we do this together in my workshop – and how to share it online and generate sales.
In my signature program I have one module “How to use Canva to build your brand and to build digital products” and I have received the same question again and again: what kind of digital product shall I create and how can I use it for my business.
In this 5-day workshop, I will go deep into every single step and in the end, my students will have a product in their hands and a complete set-up to share it and start using it for a sales process.
A new Masterclass is coming soon
My Main Course will start again in the second part of the year. Some significant changes will be that it won’t be a 1: 1 coaching program any longer. I will offer it as a masterclass course. Also, the content will change a little bit. We are all facing new challenges in business and I want to give the best support to my masterclass students. Some modules have to be updated to this new “normal” in business.
Set up my Expert Blog
This is something I want to do since … 2014!!! And it is really exciting for me, that I did it – that I started to create content for my blog!
On my existing blog are only a few articles. With the Content society, I want to build my expert brand around online marketing for Home staging and Interior Design Businesses. That’s what I thought so far.
I still have some questions and some doubts about my target audience. Should I focus on Home Stagers & Interior Designers only? Should I keep it more general to reach other creative businesses as well? What about my fashion retailers? Ain’t a blog I’m intending to build helpful for them too?
I will not decide about this now…for me building my blog will be an ongoing process and I will keep it flexible and agile and let it find its direction throughout the year.
